Honest answers, no pressure.

How do payments work?
ARK uses a 50/50 payment structure for project-based engagements. You pay 50% at signing to secure your engagement and lock in your start date; the remaining 50% is split into monthly installments across the engagement period. This helps your cash flow stay healthy — especially around grant cycles and fiscal year-end — while ensuring we can start work immediately. For the Event Revenue Audit, payment is 100% at signing because the engagement is short (2 weeks). For Partnership tiers, we invoice monthly on the 1st with a 2-month deposit due at signing. The deposit is credited back on your final two invoices. ARK follows the AFP Code of Ethical Standards. We do not charge commissions, percentage-of-funds-raised fees, or success-based compensation. Our pricing is flat and transparent.
How is ARK different from an event planner?
Event planners focus on logistics — venue, vendors, timeline, décor, run-of-show. Their job is making the event happen on time and on budget. ARK focuses on event fundraising strategy — how to make the event raise significantly more money than it did last year, through the three phases of event revenue: before, during, and after. Our work covers sponsor acquisition, board activation, donor cultivation, in-room fundraising design, VIP experience design, and post-event donor conversion. You may still need an event planner for logistics — and ARK works alongside your planner, not in place of them. If you want full event execution combined with strategy, our Full Execution Add-On covers both.
Can you work virtually, or do you travel?
ARK serves nonprofits across the United States. All strategy sessions, planning meetings, and deliverables are handled virtually — which keeps your investment focused on strategy, not travel costs. For event-day presence, ARK can travel to your event anywhere in the US. Travel is quoted separately and covers airfare, lodging, ground transportation, meals, and a flat day-rate for on-site presence.
